I knew the story a little. Splinters of the broken mirror sticked on Kay's heart and eye and Kay was placed under a spell by the Snow Queen. If a splinters struck a person's heart, that heart began to freeze. Also, If a speck flew into someone's eye, everything looked horrible and wrong. That's why, Kay changed and grew cruel. However, Gerda's warm heart, innocent and true love helped him. After finish reading, it warms my heart to read the story.
