Titanic is famous for the movie all over the world. When I was young, I watched it some times. Nowadays, I remember the contents and scenes clearly. The movie was very impressive for me. So, I took this book in my hand at this time.
About one hundred years ago, the Titanic was one of the largest and luxurious steamship at that time. The unsinkable ship met with a tragic end. Also, the accident was the worst maritime accident at that time. Then, a lot of people died. Now, we think about the accident, it was horrifying bad news.

BR 2-14: The Adventures of King Arthur

" 'Whoever pulls this sward from the stone is the true-born King of England.' said Merlin."

I have heard the name of King Arthur. His name is famous, I thought. But, I didn't know what he did, who he was.

This story is that. There was a legend that who could pull a sward out of a rock was able to become a king. Nobody could pull it. But, one day, a boy (his name is Arthur) tried to pull it and he could pull it easily. So, he became a king in Britain. After that, he could get a beautiful wife. He governed impartiality using a round table. So, he was called "knight of the round table". However, he was opposed to one of the comrades. King Aurthur was defeated. At the last time, he threw the sward to rerurn to the Holy Spirit of the lake. After that, a hand appeared, shaked the sward three times and it went away into the lake. 

The story is fantasy. It made me interested a lot.

BR 2-13: The Adventures of Sinbad the sailor

" 'Home again!' said Shinbad."

Shinbad comes from Arabian stories. It seems famous all over the world. But exactly, I didn't know this story before I read this book. I thought Shinbad is very clever man. Although he was left by his comrades, he could go home by using some way and got diamonds. The middle of the way, there were a lot of barriers. The barriers were so dangerous. But, he was able to clear them using his head. I was impressed with his bravery.

This story is about misunderstanding by a cowardly little chicken. He is very cowawrdly boy. Every day, some happenings made him scared. He wanted to run away from them. One day, a tiny acorn dropped from the tree and hit his head. It was the beginning of the chain of misunderstandings. He didn't see the corn. He felt sure that it was an act by the sky. The sky must be falling! Then, he told someone to someone. And, they believed him. But, they noticed his saying was not true, at last. They blamed him.

After finishing to read this book, I became to know the funny story is based on a folktale from India. I remembered the relation between India and elephants

Review4: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

This time, I watched Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. I had never watched this series (Indiana Jones). So, this time is the first time watching it for me. 



 
This story’s stage is Shanghai in 1935. At night club “Obi-Wan”, Willie Scott, who is a songstress, sang “Anything Goes”. There, Indiana who is an archeologist and adventurer had dealings with Lao Che who is a king of crimes in Shanghai. Indiana got a Buddhist mortuary tablet of Emperor Nurgaci who is an ancestor of Rao and exchanged with diamond. But Rao made him drink poison and tried to take back diamond. After their fighting over an antidote and the diamond and a riot of shooting, Indiana ran away with Willy and went to Shanghai Airport taking Short Round who is a Chinese boy. 

However, the airplane which was taken by them was Lao’s airplane. Two of pilots ran away by using parachutes when Indy and the others slept. Thanks that one of them noticed about that, they could get away from airplane and got onto a lifeboat. After that, they made an emergency landing. An old man saw that, the old man guided them to a village. At the village, villagers believed that they were saviors of legend . Fields at the village went to ruin. They heard that the people from Pancotto Palace took holy stones and children by force from the village’s elders. And he asked Indiana asked to take back the stone. At the next morning, they rode on elephants and went to Pancotto Palace. They got out of woods, entered the big palace and met prime minister.

 
At the palace, they met colonel of British army. The colonel said “Before first century, a group of believers of Kali were here.” The group entrapped the region into fear. At night, Indiana who came back to hisa bedroom was attacked by a professional killer. 
They found a secret passage at the back of a wall and entered it. In the passage, there were a lot of bugs and the bugs tried to pierce them. After that, they found a palace of the god of Kali.

The priest offered sacrifice. And then, many of believers prayed. After the formality, everyone was gone. After that, Indiana got closer to an altar, took three shining golden stones and put it into a bag. 
The priest said “There are five stones. Two of the stones were buried one hundred years ago. Now, children excavate the rest of the stones.” 

Indiana drank Kali’s blood and looked blank after that happened. Because of that, Shorty stimulated him by using a flame. Thanks to Shorty, Indiana could take back his sanity. Then, Indiana launched a counterattack. 

The movie was made about 30 years ago. I surprised about that! The movie made me so excited. I want to watch other series of Indiana Jones someday.

Review5: Toy Story

This time, I watched Toy Story. When I was child, I probably watched it. But I don't remember it clearly. So, I selected Toy Story. 

This story’s main characters are toys. A lot of toys appear and they are Andy’s toys. They have a common secret. They are alive! They can move and talk like humans. But it is a secret. They pretend to be only toys in front of humans. Among them, Woody was the most favorite toy to Andy. Andy played with Woody every day. Both Woody and Andy liked each other. 

One day, Andy’s birthday had come. It was a happy day, but toys had a worry because they thought that if he gets new toys, they would be thrown away. They thought so. At that time, he entered his room carrying a big present box. Inside the box was Buzz Lightyear. It was the latest toy. Then, Buzz Lightyear became Andy’s most favorite toy. Woody’s state of mind was complicated because his position was lost to the new hero. And Woody was jealous of Buzz Lightyear. 

At that time, a problem was occurred. Andy’s family had to move! It was a big problem to the toys. They were worried again if they will be thrown away. In the middle that toys were worried and Woody was jealous, an incident was happened. Buzz Lightyear fell from the room’s window. It was an accident, but toys reproached Woody because they thought that Woody was criminal. The reason is that only Woody didn’t welcome Buzz Lightyear.  

When Andy went to a restaurant, he tried to bring Buzz Lightyear. But Buzz Lightyear disappeared. Andy felt down. He brought Woody instead of Buzz Lightyear. Because Buzz Lightyear saw the situation, he gripped the car and shadowed them. On the way to go to restaurant, Woody met Buzz Lightyear and they started fighting. Both of them were so absorbed that they lost sight of Andy’s family. So, they ran after Andy desperately. However, unfortunately, they were caught by a boy whose house is next door. The boy called the “killer of toys”. 

After arriving to the boy’s house, Woody and Buzz Lightyear were scared to see his room. There were a lot of toys which were remodeled by the boy. There, the boy tried to kill Buzz Lightyear. So, Woody and Buzz Lightyear co-operated with the toys and tried to run away from the fierce boy. Thanks to the toys, Woody and Buzz Lightyear could run away and get back to Andy’s house. However, they couldn’t be back in time for the departure of Andy’s family. They tried catching him several ways, and at last, they joined friends of toys and Andy. Andy could find his favorite Woody and Buzz Lightyear. He was able to smile again! 

This movie is short, because this movie is made for children, I think. It takes about 80 minutes to watch. So, it’s easy to watch. Woody is a good boy, but he is like a child a little. On the other hand, Buzz Lightyear is like an adult. Also, a lot of characters of toys appear at this movie. Because their interesting characters, this story is loved by a lot of people.

BR 2-10: Penguins

When I was an elementary school student, I was interested in penguins very much. Also, my mother did. So, I often read books and movies about penguins. In addition, I went to a penguin aquarium in Nagasaki at that time. I learned a lot of kinds of penguins and how they live from them. As I read this book, my memories about penguins came back. Penguins are very cute but not only cute. They live among the severe environment. After reading this book, I felt that I' like to see penguins!!

Review6: Baymax ( ●ー● )

This time, I watched Baymax. Baymax is a care robot. This story's main themes are about friendship between Baymax and Hiro and brothers' love, I thought.

The main character Hiro Hamada is a boy genius at robot engineering. He is only 14. He had been enthusiastic about robot fighting at first, but it was illegal. His older brother helped his younger brother Hiro. His name is Tadashi Hamada. He is the maker of Baymax too. He asked Hiro to enter his college. His college is a college of engineering. At the college, he made Baymax. Hiro met his brother's friends, saw lab and attracted attention a lot. So, he decided to enter the same college. But, everyone can't enter the college easily. If Professor Rovert Callaghan would accept him, he/she can enter the college. Rovert Callaghan is Tadashi's teacher and a recognized authority on robot engineering. For entering, he/she has to show an original presentation and impress the professor. So, Hiro invented a micro robot". A micro robot is very small but it is a big epoch-making invention. His presentation could success and accepted to enter the college from the professor. Hiro, Tadashi and their friends were pleased!

At the happiness night, a sad incident was happened. There was a fire of unknown origin at their college. Tadashi saw it and burst in the fire to rescue Professor Callaghan. Tadashi died in Hiro's presence. He was depressed because he lost two great persons, Tadashi and Professor Callaghan and his micro robot at once.

After the sad accident, Hiro had been shut himself in his room all day and day. So, his aunt and Tadashi's college friends were worried about that. They encouraged him. But his wound was so deepen. Everyone couldn't heal his wound. At such time, a big man appeared in front of Hiro. The man was Baymax! Surprisingly, Baymax was alive. Baymax tried to heal Hiro's pain. And Hiro started open his heart to Baymax. At that time, they found a micro robot at his room. They were counting on it and started to look for the rest of micro robots. Then, they arrived a warehouse. At the place, they found a lot of micro robots. However, at the same time, they encountered mystery man with a mask and followed there. Hiro and Baymax could run away from the man with great difficulty.

After that, Hiro guessed that the firing is not accident but intentional incident. In addition, the criminal may targeted the micro robot. He was so angry about that. He decided to confront the criminal.

He thought of a good idea. He made new suits for Baymax, Hiro and Tadashi's friends and version up themselves. And then, they entered the criminal's secret base. At there, they knew the some truth. At that time, the mystery man appeared again. They fought against the man. In the middle of the time, they saw the mystery man was Mr. Callaghan! He disappeared in front of them with a lot of micro robot. And then, they guessed why Mr. Callaghan brought about the incident. He had a daughter and she disappeared because the transporter equipment was broken although she was in.

Because they knew all the truth, Hiro and Tadashi's friends tried to stop Mr. Callaghan's revenge. In the middle of the fight against Mr. Callaghan, Baymax and Hiro entered the transporter equipment boldly to rescue Mr. Callaghan's daughter. In the equipment, they could find professor's daughter but they would not be able to back to the real world. So, Baymax decided to be sacrificed himself and let Hiro and her to go back to the real world.

The end could reach happy end excluding Hiro. He lost Baymax... At that time, he found a chip from wreck of Baymax. Based on the chip, he restored Baymax's life. He could meet the best partner Baymax again.

Before I watched this movie, I underestimated it. But I was very impressed at this heart warming story. I felt so grateful to kindness of Baymax. In addition, Baymax was very cute! I want to meet Baymax and hug him someday. I wish Baymax were this world and here.

This story is a popular story for children all over the world. At the story, above sentence (Not by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin.) is written three times on the book. I could not understand the meaning when I saw the at first. It means "No!!" and kidding. It is used often in the English-speaking world. However, if you don't live in there, you will never understand of the meaning about the phrase. It is very funny.

I didn't know about the story well. I knew only the characters(animals), an ass, a dog, a cat and a chicken.  I thought the animals become musicians before I read this book. However, they never become musicians at last. I was surprised they decided to join the town band to stop their owner's mean action. Each of them were cruelly treated by different mean actions. So their backgrounds looked like. Because of that, they may be able to be in unison.

The illustration is cute. So, as I began to read, I thought it may heartwarming story. But it is not. This story seems look like the RUNAWAY PANCAKE. These are eaten by animals nothing to do with the two sweets at last. I wish they didn't run away. But if foods are alive such as this story,  all the foods may run away because they don't want to be eaten.

Review3: Romeo + Juliet

 

Today, I watched “Romeo + Juliet”. This story is based on Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare and it is modern version. I have heard the story about Romeo and Juliet, but I have never read the original written by Shakespeare. Also, Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio acted as Romeo. In this movie, DiCaprio was very young and handsome, so I was fascinated by him. The contents are as follows.

In Verona Beach, there are two mafias that have extensive authority. Those are the Capulets and the Montagues. They are rivals and often fight. Each of those families have one child. There is a daughter in the Capulets. Her name is Juliet. There is a son in the Montagues. His name is Romeo. Both children have never met each other before a party.

At this time, Romeo had a crush on Rosaline. On the other hand, Juliet was suffering from unwanted marriage proposals. One day, the Capulets held a party and Romeo joined the party with his friends. At there, he fell in love with Juliet at first sight. By his enterprise, they came to be in love. However, they didn’t know they were from rival families. It was a big obstruction for them. But, because they both loved deeply, they married at the church. After that, because of their loving, her cousin killed his best friend. He was very angry about that and killed her cousin. By this crime, Romeo was banished from their country. Romeo and Juliet felt so sad. Then, Romeo took consul with Catholic priest and decided to go another country. After that, Juliet’s father asked Juliet to marry another person strongly. But, her answer was “no”. Her parents tried to abandon her if she refuses to obey her parents, so she asked for help tfromo Catholic priest. Catholic priest gave her a sleeping pill and asked her to play dead. Unfortunately, her false news (she was dead) was told to Romeo. Romeo became very sad and decided to die next to Juliet. He went to church and said good-bye to Juliet. After that, he drunk a poison. At that time, Juliet woke up and saw him. After she saw he was dead, she shot herself and was dead next to him. A small trouble of families caused this tragedy. This story is a one of the biggest tragedy.

In this story, too many things are going wrong. But, these may their (Romeo and Juliet) destiny, I thought.

Review2: Cool Hand Luke

This time, I watched “Cool Hand Luke”.  

This story’s stage is a jail in Florida. The main character is Luke Jackson. He was a soldier and decorated with a medal for his achievements before. Although he had an excellent background, he was arrested for breaking parking meters. He is sentenced to two years’ imprisonment. He meets many prisoners such as Dragline there. I think Dragline is the boss of the jail. At first, he is disliked other prisoners with Dragline at the head of the list. The reason is that he is impudent in spite of being a newcomer. One day, he gets into a fight with Dragline. Dragline’s body is too big and strong, so Luke is attacked and attacked. The audience can’t continue to look at their fight. However, Luke never gives up. Finally, he won this fight by not giving up and Dragline recognizes him. After that, Luke is respected from prisoners.  
 

It is heavy labor in jail, but he and the prisoners are full of life with Luke at the head of them. He is a man who tries his best to do everything, if it is a little thing. They like him and go with him. They enjoy gambling and little things too. Thanks to Luke, their men’s friendship is getting warm.  

In the middle of the day, a tragedy strikes him. His mother died. After he gets the sad news, he sheds tears. Prisoners and prison guards consider his situation. However, three days after, he tries prison breaking. He is arrested soon and gets heavy punishment. After that, he breaks out of prison again. In this time, he can get away for a long time, so he becomes a hero among prisoners. He is arrested again. Because it is a second time, punishment for him is getting harder. It is hard for me to watch the scene. A prison guard says to Luke, “if you break out of prison again, we’ll kill you.” Because the punishment is too hard, he finally mends his ways. The prisoners change their behavior. The reason is they like his rebellious spirit and bravery. Meanwhile, he achieves third jailbreak with Dragline. In the middle of the getaway, they separate and Luke goes into a church. He speaks to God there. Then, Dragline appears in front of Luke. Dragline informs the police on Luke because of his single-minded desire to help Luke. Luke smiles to Dragline, he appears in front of the police and says, “What we’ve got here is failure to communicate.” Immediately, he is shot. Dragline howls with sadness and angry at the police. Although Luke finally died, he keeps living forever in their minds. 

The movie was a little difficult for me. I can’t understand why Luke continues to break out of prison. If he didn’t resist, he can be released from prison soon. But, I tried to think about his mind. I think he doesn’t want to be under society’s thumb. He sticks to his will. His posture is so cool! Also, he is a man who tries his best to do everything, even if it is only something too little to notice. So, he can change everything into fun. Because of that, prisoners like him very much. I felt the men’s strong warm friendship in this movie. They enjoy in earnest and support each other. I am attracted to this. Although Luke died at the end and I shocked about it, I am fascinated by Luke.

Review1: Glee

This time, I watched the 1st episode of Glee. I was interested in this drama, but I have never watched it yet. Also, I like music and musical movie, so I decided to try watching Glee. 

Glee is a musical comedy drama. This story’s stage is the glee club “New Directions!” of William McKinley high school. One of the main characters (Glee 1st episode) is Will Schuester who becomes the adviser of the club. He struggles for getting back the past glory of the club, but other teachers do not cooperate with him. Only five members join the club at first. They are Rachel Berry, Mercedes Jones, Tina Cohen-Chang, Kurt Hummel and Artie Abrams. They joined it because they want to be superior to the others in singing. However, few people are interested in joining, and everything isn’t going well. So, Will somehow gets Finn who belongs to football club to join glee club. The other glee club members are surprised when they listen to his singing. The club starts to get off the ground. Although Will tried quitting his job because of his problems with his wife without fulfilling his ambition in the middle of the story, thanks to advice of his colleague and the club members’ motivation, he decided to continue to serve as an adviser of the club. After that, their story is started. 

In this drama, at first, some teachers treated glee club cruelly. I felt bad. Although in this situation, Will Schuester never gave up. So, the club members go along with him. Their efforts are their youth, I thought. I would like to join this club and spend my high school life together. A regrettable thing is that Cory Allan Monteith who played Finn Hudson died. The news filled me with great sorrow.

Smart phone is divided into android and iphone. Android and iphone is differnt from various aspects. They have not only merit, but also demerit. If you want to change new smart phone, you will research about smart phone a lot, because it may spend long time with you. We will show you comparison android and iphone.

First, android has many manufacturers, for example, sony, sharp, samsun, etc. Those manufacturers make a lot of models, so you can choose what you like. Next, some people like android one-seg-receiving functions. Watching TV with one’s phone is very convenient for them because without TV, they can enjoy television program anywhere. What’s more, there is the smart phone which is waterproof. It is possible to watch television even in a place where humidity is high like a bathroom. In addition, it can use a SD card. If you often take photos and videos, capacity will become quiet full. It will be saved on a capacity side when the model that you can use a SD card. Also, android has big screen. Android is a mainstay of around 5 inches terminal,　people are easy to see large screen. They can watch Web page, e-mail and electronic book comfortably.

Although android has many good point, there are some bad point. It is different in the number of the buttons, placement, operability by a model because the android can develop a mobile carrier freely. Therefore, might have trouble a little to be used to new operability when people change a model. On the other hand, people who have iPhone come to be able to operate most of in the one-button of middle because the iPhone assumes is simple, making it a concept like iPad or iPod. This is a design that is consistent from the initial series of iPhone, it will probably not be troubled with even change models as appeared a new models.

On the other hand, there are some merit and demerit of iphone.

At first, one of the merit of iphone is cheeper than android. There are many types of android such as Xperia, AQUOS phone, Galaxy and so on. However, if you compare these android with iphone, you will find that iphone is cheeper than almost android. Also, iphone’s size is compact. A lot of android is getting bigger and bigger. If you buy new android which is different maker you had, you will struggle to get used to new one. However, because each types of iphone are same style, if you change new iphone, you will master new one soon. Therefore, iphone is easy to use. Also, there are many types of cover and case for iphone. You can enjoy various variation.

One of the demerit of iphone is you can’t custom a lot. Although it is a good point that each types of iphone are same style, on the contrary, there are a lot of limitation. For example, iphone doesn’t have a function of widget. Also, iphone doesn’t have many function such as infrared rays, waterproofing, Osaifu-Keitai and one seg. These functions are developed in Japan, so iphone doesn’t have these convenient function. In addition, if you have some trouble about iphone, you have to go iphone shop. However, there is only one iphone shop in Kumamoto. It is very inconvenient.

In consequence, the difference between smart phones and iPhones is smart phone can have unique models in various models and customization by mounting the OS high degree of freedom as Android, high degree of perfection by Apple consistent concept of the iPhone. Both the iPhone and Android latest terminal is attractive. It is simple and is easy to use iPhone and suits all tastes at a balanced terminal.
