     I like Japanese rock music the best. The reason is that I like powerful drum's sound and bass's low tone and remarkable guitar's sound. My favorite Japanese bands are Chatmonchy and ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION. I practice playing guitar now. I want to play it better and look for some other bands which I will be interested.

Cafe in the Japanese Style

     When I went out to Kumamoto city with my friend, we dropped by a cafe in the Japanese style after our shopping. The cafe has a lot of meals of powdered green tea and sweet adzuki soup with pieced of rice cake such as parfaits, cakes and ice creams. I ate a powdered green tea parfait. It's taste good! I can enjoy a calm time in a relaxed atmosphere the cafe.

An audition

     On March 13, I had an audition in my club. We competed two bands. We played Hybrid Rainbow of the pillows which is Japanese famous rock band. We practiced hard and enjoyed the practices. My band achieved victory for the first time. We all could enjoy playing. We could play at a music concert for the freshmen the other day.

A Prom Lodging

     On March fourteenth, I went to Hot Water of Samata with my club members. It was a prom lodging of my club. The lodging is to celebrate graduates and to preserve good memories. We stayed there overnights. I am very happy that I was able to talk to graduates a lot. I had watched the movie but the story is not same. The story was funny. Rapunzel was cast into the desert by the witch because she said a name "Prince Hans". Unfortunately, the witch cast a spell on the prince and he went blind. However, he was going to find Rapunzel. As a result, a woman ran to him and wept. Two tears of her fell into his eyes. At the moment, he became to be able to see! She has magical power. Love brings good luck more than ever.

     I went to a guitar workshop at Beatnic which is a music store. A man who is a guitarist lectured us how to play the guitar well and how to create sound. His name is Yuya Komaguchi. His play is very surprising to me because his techniques were fantastic! He had been practicing in his own way.

Dear host family,

    
I am Satoko. Please call me Satoko. I’m a sophomore of KGU. I’m from Japan and my hometown is Ohzu town of Kumamoto in Kyushu. My hometown is famous for sweet potatoes and HONDA which is a famous Japanese motorcycle and car maker. Furthermore, there are so many people of real warmth, so I like my hometown. I hope you will come to my hometown once. I want to know about thee place where you live. Please tell me various things about that.

After that, this is aspects of my life. I like eating but I don’t like seafood dishes so much. I’m might not be able to eat them up completely but I will try to eat all as much as possible. I like music very much too especially Japanese rock music. I want to know the music that you listen to. If you like music, please tell me about that. I’m glad if you like music.

It is hard for me to wake up in the mourning especially in the winter season because it is very cold in winter, so I don’t want to move around. Also, I’m often told I am easygoing, so I do my work in my way. Although I would like to spend a lot time with you, my host family, I want to make time for myself in a day too. My weak point is dealing with people especially with communication. I think I am shy and introverted. Because of that, if I go on a homestay, I am anxious to fix my attitude. I want to be a more sociable person.

Finally, I have plans when I go there. I hope to visit a lot of sightseeing spots and areas. Which sightseeing area would you recommend? I hope you can take me there. I want to eat delicious foods such as local foods there. Please tell me your recommended dishes. What’s more, as mentioned above, I hope to fix my attitude. For that, I will try to join as many various events as possible. I would like to interact a lot. Moreover, I will treasure you my host family.
